YouTube Morphe

A specialized, modified YouTube client built for the Android ecosystem. This guide ensures you get the most out of background playback, sponsor-blocking, and ad-free viewing.

Security Notice: Always download these tools from official sources. This guide points directly to the MorpheApp organization to ensure you are getting legitimate APKs.
Step 01

Set Up microG-RE

To sign in to your Google account without using the official YouTube app, you need a compatibility layer. Morphe works best with the microG-RE fork.

Step 02

Install via Obtainium

Instead of manually downloading APKs, add the Morphe repository to Obtainium. This allows you to track and update the app directly from GitHub.

  1. Open Obtainium and click "Add App".
  2. Paste the URL: https://github.com/MorpheApp/YouTubeMorphine
  3. Ensure "Include Prereleases" is toggled if you want the latest experimental builds.

Disabling the Official App

To ensure links open in Morphe by default, you should disable the stock YouTube app via Settings > Apps or using an ADB command in Termux if you have the permissions.
